Todos os gatinhos da 1ª ninhada do nosso Gatil já estão nas suas novas casas. Desejamos aos nossos pequeninos muitos anos de vida e toda a felicidade do mundo.

Ficámos com a casa mais vazia, mas com a certeza de termos cumprido a nossa missão.

Tudo correu bem, desde a serena gravidez da Finisterra até ao nascimento destes gatinhos encantados. Acompanhar diariamente o crescimento dos bébés foi maravilhoso. A Finisterra foi uma mãe exemplar e eu senti-me como ela, "mãe".

Criar ou não criar... eis a questão... Criar sim!

Por tudo o que já disse, a nossa gatinha que vai ser mãe, a serenidade no seu olhar, o momento do nascimento, o crescimento cada dia mais um pouquinho, o abrir dos olhos pela primeira vez, o começar a andar dos gatinhos, as primeiras brincadeiras. Tudo isto é uma dádiva para o criador, que vem do Criador. Muito obrigada minha querida Finisterra e meu querido Robert Plant!

All the kittens of our first litter are already in their new homes. We wish them many years of life and all the happyness of the world.

Our home is now more empty, but we stay with the feeling that we have accomplish our mission.

From Finisterra's pregnancy till the kittens birthday everything was ok. It was wonderful to see the babies growing everyday. Finisterra was a spectacular mummy and I felt like her, "mummy".

Breed or not breed... that's the question.. Yes, breed indeed!

Because of everything I wrote above; our Finisterra being a mother, her serene looking eyes, the moment of giving birth, the kiitens' growing everyday a little more, the first time they open their little eyes to the world, their first steps, having fun with each other. All of these facts are a gift to the Breeder, from God. Thank you so much my dear Finisterra and my dear Robert Plant.

Ouvi hoje, por acaso, uma reportagem, numa das rádios portuguesas, sobre o gato e o cão e as respectivas qualidades. Não consigo perceber porque se continua a considerar apenas o cão, como o fiel amigo.

É verdade que o gato é muito independente e é ele quem nos adopta a nós. Contudo, pela experiência que tenho, e falo dos meus Bosques da Noruega agora, posso comparar a fidelidade e o amor deles com as de um cão, e concluo que são iguais.

Tudo se resume na forma como se trata um e outro. Se os amarmos, os nossos amigos gatos e cães tratam-nos da mesma maneira.

Por tudo isto, digo que o gato pode ser o nosso melhor e fiel amigo, assim nós queiramos.

Today I've listened to one of the portugueses radios, where the reporter was talking about cat and dog qualities. I can not understand why the dog is still considered as the faithfull friend.

We know that the cat is much more independent and he is the one who adopt us. However, the experience I have, and now I speak about my Norwegian Forest Cats, I can make a comparison between the cat and the dogs' love and fidelity, and I say that the feelings are the same.

All comes in the way we take care of the cat or the dog. If we love them, our friends treated us as well.

For all this, I say that the cat can be our best and faithfull friend,so we want.

A ninhada "Montanhas do Mundo" completou 8 semanas, e foi ao Veterinario para as primeiras vacinas. Os gatinhos portaram-se muito bem.

Estão sempre juntos a brincar, sob a supervisão da mãe Finisterra e da Vira Blåtira.

Mountains of the World litter has completed 8 weeks and went to the vet for the first vaccines. Kittens behave pretty good.

They are always playing with each other, under the supervision of their mummy Finisterra and Vira Blåtira.

Haverá amor maior do que o de uma Mãe? Não acredito. E aqui a Finisterra demonstra-o. Mãe cuidadosa, carinhosa... Ela sabe quando os seus gatinhos precisam de comer e chama-os e eles, estejam a brincar ou a dormir, lá vêm ao seu chamamento.

Is there biggest love than a Mother's? I don't believe. And here Finisterra shows it so well. Carefull and sweet mummy. She knows when her kittens need to be feed and she calls them and the kittens wherever they are, playing or sleeping, they run to her call.

A nossa primeira ninhada nasceu há uma semana, no dia 20 de Julho. O Robert Plant e a Finisterra estão de parabéns pelos lindos gatinhos que nasceram.

O tema desta primeira ninhada é: Montanhas do Mundo.

Nasceram 4 machos lindos tabby preto com branco e os seus nomes são ES*Fini's Place Manaslu, ES*Fini's Place Makalu, ES* Fini's Place Broad Peak e ES* Fini's Place Annapurna.

O Manaslu nasceu com 97 g e hoje tem 194gr; o Makalu nasceu também com 97gr e hoje pesa 239gr; o Broad Peak nasceu com 120gr e hoje tem 239gr e por último o Annapurna nasceu com 111gr e hoje pesa 200gr.

Our first litter was born a week ago, on the 20th of July. Robert Plant and Finisterra are very proud of the lovely kitten theey have.

First litter's theme is: Mountains of the World.

They were born 4 beautiful tabby black with white males and their names are ES*Fini's Place Manaslu, ES*Fini's Place Makalu, ES*Fini's Place Broad Peak and finally ES*Fini's Place Annapurna.

Manslu was born with 97 gr and today has 194gr; Makalu was born also with 97gr and today is weight is 239; Broad Peak was born with 120gr and today his weight is 239gr and finally Annapurna was born with 111gr and today his weight is 200gr.

É com muita alegria que anunciamos o nascimento da primeira ninhada Fini's Place.

Finisterra e Robert Plant são pais de quatro lindos gatinhos, todos machos tabby preto, três deles com um pouco de branco.

Em breve publicaremos as primeiras fotos destes lindos gatinhos.

Já passaram quase 5 dias e a Vira Blåtira está completamente integrada na sua nova casa. Foi muito bem recebida pela Finisterra e pelo Roby. O Roby é a sua companhia constante e já brincam um com o outro. O seu lugar favorito é o nosso quarto, pois adora dar saltos na cama e brincar com as almofadas.

Desejamos-lhe uma longa vida, e tudo faremos para ela ser muito feliz connosco.

Almost 5 days passed away and Vira Blåtira is completely integrated in her new home. She was very well received by Finisterra and Roby. Roby is always with her and they play already with each other. Her's favorite place is our bedroom because she loves to julmp on the bed and play with the pillows.

We wish her a long life to live, and we'll do everything to make her very happy.

Novo Membro do nosso Gatil - A new member of our Cattery

Estive nestes últimos três dias (10 a 12 de Julho) em Horby, na Suécia. Estive no Gatil S*Et Consortez, cuja criadora é Inga-Lill Jarl. Há muito que a tinha contactado por causa de uma gatinha tartaruga azul da sua última ninhada de que gostei muito. E um dos meus sonhos realizou-se. E lá fui eu até à Suécia.

Passei um fim de semana expectacular, adorei conhecer Inga-Lill e a sua família. A sua hospitalidade foi incrivel.

A gatinha tartaruga azul chama-se S*Et Consortez Vira Blatira, nasceu a 17/02/2009 e é uma linda Bosque da Noruega, cujo temperamento me encantou logo de início. Muito doce, brincalhona e muito tranquila.

Na nossa viagem de regresso a Portugal a Vira esteve muito calma, dormindo a maior parte do tempo no meu colo.

Muito obrigada a Inga-Lill por me ter confiado esta maravilhosa gatinha. Nunca esquecerei...

Aqui deixo algumas fotos do lugar onde estive e da minha nova gatinha Bosque da Noruega.

In the last 3 days (10/12 July) I was in Horby, in Sweden. I was at the S*Et Consortez Cattery, whose breeder is Inga-Lill Jarl. Many time ago I have contacted her for a blue tortie female kitten from his last litter that I appreciated too much. And one of my dreams comes true. And there I went to Sweden.

I had a wonderful weekend and I loved to know personaly Inga-Lill and her family. Their hospitality was incredible!!!

The new kitten's name is S*Et Consortez Vira Blatira and she was born at 17/02/2009 and she is a very beautiful norwegian forest kitten, whose temper delighted me just from the beginning. She's very sweet, calm and plays a lot.

In our flight back to Portugal she was very calm, sleeping the most part of the time in my lap.

Many thanks to Inga to have trusted me this wonderful kitten. I will never forget...

A Finisterra está muito serena, aguardando a chegada dos seus bébés. A gravidez está a decorrer normalmente e está a aumentar de peso regularmente.

Esperamos o seu nascimento entre 17 e 25 de Julho.

A nossa Finisterra faz hoje 1 ano.

A "Finis" é uma gata muito feliz, brincalhona , dócil e muitíssimo meiga. Adora correr pela casa fora e esconder-se e fazer grandes sestas na sua árvore, junto à janela. Muitos parabens Finisterra e muitos anos de vida!!!

Today our Finisterra completes 1 year of age. "Finis" is very happy, plays a lot, she is very tender and very sweet. Loves to run and hidding from us, loves to make big naps on the cat tree near the window. Happy Birthday Finisterra and a long life to live!!!

É com muita alegria que informo, que o nosso Gatil já se encontra registado. Somos membros a partir de hoje da Associación Felina Española (ASFE) e da Federação Internacional Felina (FIFe). O nosso Gatil tem o nome Fini's Place ES*.

Neste último fim de semana estivemos, pela primeira vez, na Exposição Internacional Felina, realizada em Alcabideche (Cascais), organizada pelo Clube Português de Felinicultura, com o Robert Plant. O nosso "Roby" concorreu à Classe Aberta (CAC) e obteve o primeiro Certificado de Aptidão a Campeão e a qualificação de Melhor da Variedade (BIV). Estamos muito felizes por ele nos ter dado esta alegria. E ainda mais felizes por ele ter entrado nas nossas vidas. O meu eterno obrigado à Nelly, do Gatil Blue Tanis, por nos ter confiado este verdadeiro milagre da natureza.

A exposição e o facto de conhecermos pessoas novas foi excelente. Sentiu-se no ar que todos partilhavamos do mesmo sentimento. Todos falavamos a mesma linguagem. Foi para nós muito gratificante a forma como tudo se passou. Por último, o meu bem haja ao Luís e à Ana (Gatil Shadow Eyes) por todo o apoio que nos deram.

In the last weekend we attend, for the first time, the International Feline Exhibition, settled in Alcabideche (Cascais), organized by the Clube Português de Felinicultura, with our Robert Plant. Our "Roby" concurr in the Open Class (CAC) and obtained the first Certificate to Championship and the qualification of the Best of the Variety (BIV). We are very happy for Roby has given us such a joy! But even more happier for Roby entered in our lives. My deeply thank you to Nelly from Blue Tanis Cattery, who have trusted us this miracle of the nature.

The exhibition and the fact of knowing new persons was exccelent. We felt in the air that everybody shared the same feeling. Everybody spoke the same language. Finally, my BIG Thank You to Luis and Ana from Shadow Eyes Cattery, for all the support they have given us.

Este é o Robert Plant, um Bosque da Noruega Tabby Blotched vermelho e branco (nfo d 09 22). Ele veio do Gatil BlueTanis, na Suiça (www.bluetanis.com). Nasceu em 2008/06/19. É um gatinho extremamente meigo, brincalhão, muito curioso, adora mimos e é muito tolerante. Gosta de dormir grandes sestas no sofá da sala.

This is Robert Plant, a Norwegian Forest cat Tabby Blotched red and white (nfo d 09 22). He cames from Bluetanis Cattery in Switzerland (www.bluetanis.com). He was born on the 2008/06/19. O começo... a eterna paixão por gatos

A minha paixão por gatos já vem de longe. Lembro-me ainda criança de estar rodeada de pequenos gatinhos, na Herdade do Pinheiro onde passava as férias de Verão. Nunca os pude ter em casa, com grande pena minha. Passados alguns anos e já na minha casa o meu marido ofereceu-me um gato persa todo preto lindíssimo. Seguia-nos por todo o lado, adorava festas... enfim uma ternura... Mas um dia, já com 16 anos resolveu deixar-nos, e ficou um vazio. O meu bem-haja a este Gato Persa de nome Garfield pelas alegrias que nos deu ao longo destes 16 anos.

Surgiu então a ideia da raça Bosques da Noruega e começamos a investigar, a estudar, a consultar inúmeras páginas na Internet e descobrimos numa dessas pesquisas, o Gatil Shadow Eyes (http://shadoweyescats.com.sapo.pt/) onde apresentava uma ninhada destes gatinhos maravilhosos nascida a 5 de Junho deste ano. Apaixonámo-nos logo pela Finisterra e a 31 de Agosto entrou no nosso lar.
